2012 Bigger and Better

So im really looking forward to 2012. Its been my most anticipated year since 2000. However 2000 was only so exciting because I thought everything would be so futuristic. You know flying cars,  jets packs, personal robots that sort of thing. But as we all see the world has not quite achieved that level, I guess it cant hurt to wait a little longer 2020 maybe.

Aside from my hopes of the far future, the near future is looking very promising. Im starting my fashion line this year called "House of Balloons"  my line is set to launch in fall 2012. So I am overjoyed about that. My line is specializing in dresses for after 5 events as well as club wear, also jewlery (necklaces, bracelets and earrings). I want to make clothing for the young adult generation of young woman. Really branching out to woman between the ages of 21 to 25. Entering their own and becoming grown, sexy, and independent woman.


I'll drink to that!! I cant wait for you all to see what I have in store :)

IT WAS ALL GOOD JUST A WEEK AGO..or WAS IT??

As much as we love and hate social networking. Alot of time people feel its okay to air there feeling about there fustrations and anger. Well time and time again many celebrities get tangled into the hype as well. This Week it seem to be artist Natassia Zolot aka Kreayshawn. You all might know her as the young white girl from Oakland, Cali who released her song "Gucci, Gucci" and was also nominated for MTV newest artist award. Kreayshawn seems to be going to be going toe to toe with her close friend DJ Lil Debbie.

They stop going back in forth but Kreayshawn still continues to talk about the subject with out using that powerful @ symbol.

Seems to be a deep rooted issue here, sometimes things change come fame. That's crazy. Will these two members of WGM (White Girl Mob) restore their friendship? If not maybe Kreayshawn will take this time and fustration and put it into her music, and just maybe the rest of the hip hop community will take her a little more seriously as a rapper. Im just saying..

Too Sexy???

I have noticed a disturbing trend lately. People feel that plus size model's should not be ranked in the same category as regular size models, because they are just not as pretty or too sexy. Other's feel it is extremely easy to be one. I'm confused as to why America  feels this way.

My favorite model is Ashley Graham. Ashley is a known Plus Size model with both a striking face and amazing body.She is a plus size lingerie model for Lane Bryant. Back in 2010 Ashley appearance in Lane Bryant commercial did strike much controversy between Lane Bryant and ABC. Saying the ad was just "too sexy" for t.v and exposed far too much cleavage. This seems a little bit hypocritical since Victoria Secret models such as Adriana Lima can be displayed all over television sets across America. She is a beautiful model but is she not too sexy for t.v? And my next question is, how sexy is too sexy and how much cleavage is unacceptable? Because she is not hiding anything in this picture.

Sad to say many people come down alot harder on plus size models than they do on 90 pound 6'1 models who only have a half a piece of lettuce and mint for a meal. Fact is being a plus size model is not easy. You have to maintain your weight not losing to much or adding too much either. Vigorous workouts and meal planning. As well as nailing fashion shows, photo shoot, and campaigns for various brands. Ashley graham is a great example of that she is making appearance in Vogue as well as Latina Magazine. Despite what many my think and feel Plus Size is beautiful. There is nothing wrong with that. Instead of showing such negativity towards these woman who carry a little more than bones they should be embraced. That way other young girls now can understand that there is nothing wrong with the curves they possess and have a healthy body image.

Hey I'm FashxB. Just a 20 year old girl tryna make my way in this world. (not intended to rhyme, but hey it happens) Im starting this blog today and hope to continue with this blog for awhile. I've started numerous blogs before this one and they just didnt really go in the direction I am heading in for 2012. Im hoping to make the year of 2012 my year. Ill be starting the year of at 21, im working very hard to get back into college and trying make better and more sound decisions in my life. I want to travel, meet new people, dine at new resturants, take shopping trips and so much more. I just want to take advantage of life and enjoy myself.

Im just ready to start over new and achieve new heights in my life.
